Kinross Round Mountain recently partnered with NV Careers to host a career seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada. The purpose of the seminar was to educate participants about the mining industry and showcase examples of jobs available based on various skill levels.
Over 35 participants attended and had the opportunity to meet with three employees from our Human Resources and Communications team to learn more about the Company, our values and the culture at Kinross.
As a next step, participants will go through a screening process and if successful, will visit Round Mountain to meet the team and see if the mining industry is the right fit for them before starting at the Company.
“The career seminar was an excellent opportunity for us to expand our talent pool while showcasing employment opportunities for community members in Las Vegas,” said Joe Kemp, Operations Manager, Round Mountain. “Mining is one of the few industries that provides competitive wages, benefits and opportunities for growth regardless of your education level. We hope that this will be the first of many career seminars and we look forward to welcoming new hires through this event.”
