In November, Kinross Tasiast launched a new training and development centre for employees and contractors at Tasiast. The facility will provide access to personal and professional development resources in an effort to further strengthen our team’s skills and interests.
The training centre comes equipped with 16 computers with access to online training modules such as basic computer software training, Kinross University and CAT University, as well as a library with access to hard copy books.
Members of Tasiast’s board of directors, and its Chair Brahim M’Bareck, Gavin Ferguson, Vice-President and General Manager, Tasiast, and representatives from the Human Resources, Continuous Improvement and the training department, who helped bring the initiative to life, held a ceremony to open the centre this past November.
“In line with our commitment to learning and development, we are proud to launch the new training centre at Tasiast,” said Gavin. “We believe this centre will be a hub for furthering our employees knowledge while inspiring new found interests from various backgrounds and cultures. We encourage employees to use this facility to their advantage and look forward to the positive benefits it will bring Tasiast.”
