Chirano is an open-pit and underground operation located in southwestern Ghana, approximately 100 kilometres southwest of Kumasi, the country’s second largest city. Chirano recently extended mine life by three years to 2025.
Kinross Chirano provides scholarship to 30 students
Kinross Chirano recently held a ceremony to present 30 students from communities surrounding the mine with scholarships. Twenty-four students received scholarships through the Sefwiman Foundation and six students received the General Manager’s Scholarship. A combined total of CAD$25,000 will go towards the scholarships that will cover school fees, accommodations…
