What was the most memorable experience during your time in the Gen Gold program?
It’s hard to choose just one experience. After four years, you learn so many things and meet great people along the way.
However, if I had to choose one memorable experience, it would be working with the project team overseeing the 4th ball mill construction at Paracatu in 2012. I worked with an amazing group of people with such diverse backgrounds. Each team member came from different nationalities and spoke different languages, but we worked collectively towards the goal of getting the mill running – a major milestone for the site.
I will truly cherish this time with the team as it taught me so much about myself. Although I was in an unfamiliar work environment with people I hardly knew, we worked together towards this big task. These strangers eventually became my friends and teachers, and I learned that I can be adaptable and contribute to a major project.
