Last month, the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra visited Paracatu to kick off the town’s fifth annual Cultural Festival! The highly anticipated event brought together over 4,000 attendees for a night at the orchestra that promotes culture and music, and showcases local talent.
The festival included a presentation about Paracatu culture, which was attended by over 600 students. Attendees also had the opportunity to watch locally-inspired singing, dancing and theatrical performances.
“The Paracatu Cultural Festival represents an excellent way for the community to embrace the culture and musical talents of our country,” said Ana Cunha, Senior Communications Officer and Community Relations Manager, Paracatu. “It is an honour to host the Philharmonic Orchestra and a thrilling way to kick off the festival. We look forward to working with them and sharing their music with our community for years to come.”
The Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra was established in 2008 and has become one of the top orchestra’s in the country. The group features Brazilian musicians who travel across the country sharing their love for music.
