To celebrate the 10th anniversary of gold production at Chirano, the site team held an employee photo contest with the goal of capturing the site’s spirit through images of people, places or nature in the community.
Eighty-five photos were submitted with six winners. Staff voted by text message and they enlisted the professional eye of the local photographic imaging company, Fondjo Images, to help pick the winners.
Gisele Norris, wife of Ken Norris, Vice-President and General Manager, Chirano led the contest organizing committee. “It wasn’t an easy choice as there were many incredible images. We are happy that it was well-received and thankful for the contribution from the team,” said Gisele.
Moments were captured on cell phones, iPads and cameras, and will be on display at the site for the next few weeks.
