Noel began his career at Kinross in 2007 as an Office Administrator, and later joined the mailroom as a Coordinator, where he eventually worked his way up to be Mailroom Supervisor. During his more than 15 years at Kinross, Noel has had an enormous impact on the employees at Kinross, both at the Toronto office and across our global operations.
While Noel’s job title is Mailroom Supervisor, he often spends his time going above and beyond his day-to-day tasks to support employees. His peers have coined the nickname ‘Superman’ because he is always willing to assist with projects big and small, and constantly works to ensure all employees feel welcomed and special.
Noel volunteers for several committees at the Toronto office where he is an instrumental member of the team, including the Joint Health and Safety Committee, the Social Committee and Kinross’ Buddy Program. Noel volunteers to conduct monthly AED machine checks and quarterly workplace inspections, spearheads the décor and event setup for countless events in our staff lounge, and ensures new hires have an exceptional onboarding experience through the Buddy Program.
During the 2022 LOVA week, Noel volunteered his time to be a translator for winners and their guests visiting Toronto. He quickly became a main point of contact for all winners who needed support and would go out of his way to ensure everyone was having an enjoyable, memorable time.
“Noel goes above and beyond in his role at Kinross. He is known for his passion, sense of urgency, and initiative as a team player who is always looking to improve things to create a consistently great culture at Kinross,” said Nicky Pitt, Director, Talent & Engagement, Toronto. “Noel is one of those individuals who does not ask how he can help, he just helps. If he sees a problem, he dives into solution mode. He is truly one of a kind and embodies the value Putting People First in all facets of his professional and personal life.”
