Time Zone Change in Russia

Effective 10.26.14, Russia changed the time zone in Magadan from UTC* +12, to UTC +10. Under this new change, the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (where Kupol and Dvoinoye are located), remain on UTC +12.

However in order to maintain consistent work hours between the Magadan Regional Office and our Russian operations, Kinross made the decision to keep the work hours of Kupol and Dvoinoye the same as Magadan: UTC +10.

Note that our KM21 operations (Pevek), as well as our Bilibino and Anadyr offices, are unchanged on UTC +12.

Kinross IT is working to update the calendaring system in Outlook to reflect our intention to keep Kupol and Dvoinoye on UTC +10.

Should you have questions regarding this change, please contact our Kupol Business Assistant at: Kupol.Business.Assistant@kinross.com
