Congratulations Ana Cunha, Director, Government Relations and Social Responsibility, Kinross Brazil, who was one of seven women recognized for the ‘2022 Brazilian Women Making a Difference’ award!
The prestigious award is granted by the Brazilian Embassy and US Consulate in Brazil each year and recognizes seven women who are symbols of inspiration in the country. The award highlights women who are making positive impacts in their communities, promoting economic and environmental initiatives, and driving civic engagement and inclusion and diversity rights for marginalized groups.
Ana has over two decades of experience working in corporate affairs and social development in the mining industry. Since joining Kinross in 2013, she has championed several internal and external communications programs that have made significant contributions to social engagement, as well as the socio-economic development of the community of Paracatu.
“It is a great honour to receive this award from the Brazilian Embassy and US Consulate in Brazil,” said Ana. “At Kinross, we are passionate about maintaining a work environment that celebrates and supports diversity regardless of the type. I would like to extend this award to all women in the mining industry for their continuing effort to push forward.”
In 2019, Ana became the first female director for Kinross Brazil. She has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout her career, including being named to the top 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining in 2020 – a testament to her hard work and commitment to making a difference in her communities.
Congratulations, Ana!
