Ana Cunha named to the top 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining!

Congratulations Ana Cunha, Government Relations, Social Responsibility, Communications and Community Relations Director, Paracatu, who has been named to the top 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining!

Ana joined Kinross in 2013, and has been an innovator in the social development and community relations sector at Paracatu by further strengthening relations between the Company and our stakeholders. Ana is the first female Director at Kinross Brasil, where she balances a complex role that manages several crucial aspects of our business and it’s perception in the community.

Ana has developed innovative, effective ways to generate open channels of communication, transparency and economic opportunities for the community. She spearheaded the creation of ‘Casa Kinross’, a centre that reflects on the history of Paracatu and how the region has developed over the years. The centre has become an opportunity to bridge together our employees and neighbours by connecting one another in a common space that celebrates the rich history of the region.

“I am very happy with this deserved recognition of Ana Cunha as one of the 100 most inspiring women in mining worldwide,” said Eduardo Magalhães, HR, IT and Supply Chain Director. “Ana shows a lot of passion in what she does, she has a clear purpose and is very competent. I’m sure she will continue to inspire women inside or outside Kinross, in the mining industry or not, to make a difference! She is a confident woman who shares her opinions with respect and always provides new ideas or growth opportunities to improve the workforce. I believe Ana will continue to grow at Kinross Brasil and will remain a role model to young women in mining and inspire them to continue building their careers.”
