Fort Knox pours one millionth ounce from heap leach

On January 24, 2018, Fort Knox poured their one millionth ounce from the Walter Creek Arctic Heap Leach.  The heap leap has been in operation since 2009, and is one of the few cold weather heap leach operations in the world.

“This is a great milestone for Fort Knox and has been an instrumental part of extending mine life. My thanks goes out to the folks throughout the entire company that have helped achieve this milestone,” said Eric Hill, Vice-President and General Manager.
