Hear from Kinross employees on how they ‘belong’ during Disability Awareness Month

In July, Kinross celebrated ‘Disability Awareness Month’, an opportunity to lift the voices and share the many unique experiences of those living with a disability.

At Kinross, we are committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and creating a workplace where all employees feel they belong regardless of their gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or disability. As part of our Disability Awareness Month campaign, two employees from our Paracatu operation have shared their stories on living with a disability, and how they feel they belong as a Kinross employee.

Watch the videos below to learn Fagner and Caroline’s stories:

Fagner Brandão Gonçalves, Warehouse Checker, Paracatu, joined Kinross six years ago and is living with a vision disability

Caroline Gomes Martins, Assistant, Health and Safety, Paracatu, joined Kinross two years ago and is living with a physical disability

Along with these testimonials, employees are able to access webinars and LinkedIn learning sessions that will remain available on the Kinross Connected DEI Corner.

“At Kinross, we value our people’s unique life experiences, stories, thoughts and contributions. We may all come from different places, but we can promote an inclusive workplace by appreciating one another and working together,” said Angeles Destefano, Senior Manager, Employee Engagement & DEI. “In our DEI corner, we will keep highlighting stories of people who help make Kinross a place where all of us belong.”
